How to root XOLO Q1100 Easily

The Xolo Q1100 is a mid-range Android smartphone released by Xolo back in January this year. The device features a 5 inches display powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset and 1GB RAM. Similarly it also comes with 8GB internal storage, and runs on the Android 4.3 OS. Thanks to ANDY from xda-developers, we’re now able to root Xolo Q1100 rather easily using a one-click rooting script. In this tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root Xolo Q1100 in less than an hour.

Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk! Your device warranty will also be voided after rooting.

Prerequisites before you begin rooting Xolo Q1100..

1). Download the Q1100_ROOTBOOT.rar.

2) Install the necessary USB driver on your PC.

3) Make sure you have fully charged your device.

4) Make sure you have enabled USB debugging on your device.

Back up the Xolo Q1100 smartphone.

Follow the steps below on how to root Xolo Q1100

1) Connect the Xolo Q1100 to your PC.

2) Extract the Q1100_ROOTBOOT.rar to a folder on your desktop.

3) Inside the extracted folder, run the rootboot.bat by double-clicking on it.
Select the first option.

It’ll take a moment to root your device.
Once done, your device will automatically reboot.

Congratulation! You’ve just rooted Xolo Q1100!

So you bricked your device while rooting your XOLO Q1100?
You can flash the big Firmware to fix your device, but why to flash the whole firmware when you can fix it with a 9.2 MB file?
You can easily fix your device with flashing TWRP recovery and restoring Nandroid backup (link of both are given!).

How To Flash Recovery:

å Download and extract Flashing Tool to a folder.
å Download the recovery and put it in the folder in which you extracted the tool.
å Rename the xolo-recovery.img to recovery.img or if you cannot see .IMG extension in xolo-recovery, then just make it recovery .

Click on the .bat file.

Press any option as per your need.

Optional:
It will reboot to the OS and then press option to reboot device to recovery.
Make a backup with TWRP recovery!!

How To Fix Bootloop (black screen) in XOLO Q1100 while rooting:

• Flash the recovery with the tool.
• Connect your SD Card and download the stock ROM.
• Click on Wipe menu and swipe to wipe your data.
• Click on Install menu from the main menu and select XOLO_Q1100_S022_20032014.zip

It will flash the ROM..Now reboot!!
You have fixed your device and it is now rooted too!!
